Sono state annunciate poco fa, presso il Samuel Goldwyn Theatre di Los Angeles, ad opera di Tom Sherak e Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's Bone), le nominations dell'84ima edizione degli Academy Awards.
Il maggior numero di candidature, ben undici, spetta a Hugo di Martin Scorsese, seguito a ruota dalle dieci possibili vittorie di The Artist di Michel Hazanavicius. Sei le nominations per Moneyball di Bennett Miller e War Horse di Spielberg.
Nove (e non dieci come di solito) le proposte per il
Miglior Film: triste esclusione di
The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo e inaspettata candidatura di
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, di Stephen Daldry; pellicola su di un bambino che cerca di scoprire quale lucchetto viene aperto dalla chiave lasciatagli dal padre morto l'
11 settembre. Sì, sento anch'io
puzza di lacrime e U2 (Uscita italiana: 17 febbraio).
Nelle nominations per l'ambito riconoscimento alla
Miglior Regia, la commissione conferma le candidature dei
Golden Globes, togliendo (giustamente) Clooney e sostituendolo (ancor più giustamente) con
Terrence Malick. Chissà se con quest'ultimo in lizza Scorsere riuscirà a spuntarla di nuovo... Io dico
che no, comunque.
Se nessuna sorpresa si ha per la Miglior Fotografia (candidati i cinque colossi che andavano nominati), la categoria Miglior Attore Protagonista può invece vantare (e si fa per dire) l'esclusione sia di Ryan Goslin sia di Michael Fassbender. Largo ai ciofani.
Inutili le speranze che
le nominations dei BAFTA avevano dato a
Drive di Nicolas Winding Refn, che porta a casa solo il possibile
Miglior Montaggio Sonoro. Anche
The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo di David Fincher ottiene solo cinque candidature:
